Over the past year, we’ve had the pleasure in reviewing many of Zotac’s mini gaming PCs, most notably their ZBOX Magnus units. Today’s we’ll be taking a quick look at their newest addition to their Magnus series, the EN51050. It’s positioned at the lower end of their Magnus series and is powered by a Core i5-7500T processor running at 2.7GHz (with a boost speed of 3.3GHz), and features a GeForce GTX 1050 (with 2GB of VRAM).
Using the same chassis as its bigger brothers, the EN1080K, EN1070K and the EN1060K, the EN50150 only measure 210mm x 203mm x 62.2mm in dimensions, making this and all the other models in the Magnus series … the world’s smallest mini gaming PC.
Powered by an Intel Core i5-7500T, I have no worries about its performance when it comes to Windows applications. However, my concern is the onboard GeForce GTX 1050 with only 2GB of VRAM. Can it perform well enough in our benchmarks to be called a mini “gaming PC”? Let’s find out.
Being a bare bones unit, we had to additionally install our own hard drive and 2 x SODIMMs. We used 16GB of DDR4-2133 ram (2x8GB) and a 240GB Patriot Hellfire PCIEx4 M.2 SSD.
