Gigabyte Aorus Raid 2TB SSD Review

If you are all about having the best you can get then this may be the review you want to check out! The Gigabyte Aorus Raid 2TB SSD is one of those items that may have a high price tag but you get top tier performance. We all all know the best performing storage you can get is NVMe. PCIe Gen4x4 is of course, the newest iteration you can get but about those of us still rocking the 3×4 technology and are still hesitant on upgrading to the new chipsets? Well that’s where this beauty comes in. The fastest 3×4 NVMe you are going to be able to get your hands is going to top out around 3500 MB/s and for 2 TB that’s going to cost you around 320 dollars. The fastest 4×4 NVMe is going to net you around 7000 MB/s at a cost of around 450 dollars for 2 TB. So lets put this into perspective. With the Aorus Raid 2TB SSD you get 6300 MB/s for around 390 dollars. Same storage sizes, almost double the speed of the fastest NVMe 3×4 only 70 dollars more in cost. Same storage sizes, 10% slower than the NVMe 4×4 and roughly 14% percent cheaper than the fastest NVMe 4×4.

我们可以得出这样的结论:这个设置几乎是一个情商ual to the NVMe 4×4. You sacrifice a little speed but you aren’t paying any extra to utilize and older PCIe generation. You are also getting a 45% increase of performance over 3×3 but are not paying anywhere close that, only 18% higher cost. So are we cheating with this setup? Well yes and no. Is it cheating to put a turbo on your car? This isn’t your standalone PCIe 3×4 that will utilize a M.2 slot but it is the same drives you would use. So why not use performance parts when available? Apples to apples, its not a fair comparison to a single M.2 drive but does the same thing all packed into a power house of a control unit. So now that we have established that I am absolutely sold on this setup if you don’t have a 4×4 setup lets take a look at all the details of the Aorus Raid 2TB SSD on the next few pages.

AORUS RAID SSD 2TB equipped with four high speed 512GB SSD and server class RAID controller, RDs optimized the design to push performance to the boundary to blazing fast speed up to 6300 MBs for sequential read speed and 6000 MBs for sequential write speed. It’s almost two to three times faster than PCIe 3.0 SSD. No doubt it’s the best upgrade solution for users who have a PCIe 3.0 platform such as Z390 but would like to experience PCIe 4.0 Ultra fast transfer rate in advance. It surely brings high efficiency to your work, shorten the time of waiting. It’s the perfect solution for people like video editors, 3D file creators and engineers who make giant files daily. Further more, you can easily to configure RAID array to meet your needs under BIOS setting.
