We have in front of us the EVGA Z12 RGB Water Resistant Gaming Keyboard. Just like the title states this keyboard is spill proof. This is great if you are one of those crazy gamers that like to keep hydrated while gaming. Hydration is important but in the heat of the battle accidents can happen and if you have ever spilt a soft drink on your keyboard you know this is almost an accident you can’t come back from. So why not get a keyboard you can go rinse off. This keyboard is plenty safe to do that but you may be sacrificing some performance. What so I mean? Well these re not your typical switches and some of you may have heard of them but never experienced them. These are membrane switches. Yes that correct these are membrane. Something you rarely see nowadays. I mean this technology dates back to the 80’s. It doesn’t mean its bad and it has been proven for a long time. But you do loose some of the feedback from mechanical switches. So your preference is going to play a lot in whether or not you can make a membrane work for your use. So let dive a little deeper and see if this keyboard can take on a typical gaming session.
