ASRock X570 Steel Legend Motherboard Review

Installation

I didn’t encounter any issues with installation. The photo below shows the ASRock’s Polychrome RGB lighting in action … and boy, does it look good!

像所有的新主板现在,你不ed to take the entire full-cover heat shield off to access the M.2 slots. We installed the Adata XPG SX7000 M.2 SSD on to the top Hyper M.2 slot. It’s only PCIE Gen3x4 SSD but should be enough for our tests … however, can’t wait to get my hands on a PCIE Gen4x4 SSD to see the real performance power of PCIE 4.0.

BIOS

The BIOS main page on the X570 Steel Legend is surprisingly plain, but as you go deeper you’ll find all the options for adjust CPU and memory speeds and voltages. For our tests, we left the CPU settings to default AUTO at 3.6GHz … however, when we booted in to Windows, the system would auto boost the speed to 4.2GHz during load.

You can also enable/disable various onboard devices and well as monitoring the motherboard/system health. We were able to turn on the XMP profile option for our memory, allowing the GEIL Super Luce DDR4-3600 to run at full speed.
