A 34 inch ultra wide is very similar in height to a 16:9 27″. A 34″ ultrawide would be the minimum size I would recommend. This size offers just enough height that it doesn’t feel like you are using a tiny monitor. The gaming experience was outstanding and I was amazed by the increased area of my game. You will notice on cut scenes and menus, that you will have black bar because those are formatted to a 16:9 format. Some games don’t support the 21:9 but those are older titles. Most new games are going to work just fine at 21:9. As you could tell from the comparisons earlier in the review. The differences between 16:9 and 21:9 can be quite a bit. With 21:9 you get to see so much more of your game. I have been sold that the only way to game is on an ultrawide. The experience was fantastic. If you are like me and hesitant on an ultrawide, then let me settle you down and tell you the 34″ is a great size. I definitely wouldn’t go any smaller though. I could see my disappointment if the height of the monitor was anything less than this.

The brightness and results form the testing showed us that. It was right there or exceeded the manufactures reported color gamut. The gamma testing did report a slight difference from a baseline figure but that didn’t effect the performance. I assume the gamma base line can be adjusted in a firmware update.
